🚀 STEP 3: CREATE A FREE ROCKET SOFTWARE ACCOUNT
Head over to our partner, Rocket Software, and create a free account.
When asked about your role, select Rocket Customer.
When downloading rocket software products like Uniface or MultiValue applications be sure to label yourself as a mentee and select ACE Tech Mentor as your company.
Please ensure you use the same email address for your mentee portal, application, and Rocket Software account. Inconsistent email usage may delay program tracking and progress.
STEP 4: Choose your skill development path
MultiValue Foundations Path
Start your journey into the MultiValue world.
This path is designed for new learners with little to no MV experience. You’ll complete all five core modules—MV Essentials, BASIC 101, , MVIS, and Uniface Foundations, alongside mentorship and community support to build a strong full stack foundation.
Uniface Path
Designed for anyone looking to begin their Uniface journey, this path provides a clear and structured introduction to the platform. You’ll learn the core fundamentals, explore modern features, understand essential workflows, and build the practical skills needed to move confidently into real-world Uniface development.
Step 5: Announce Yourself oN the Discord
Your technical progress in Uniface 10 or MultiValue courses is automatically tracked through Rocket Software’s platform. In the meantime, here is how you can stay active and visible within the community:

📅 SCHEDULE STUDY SESSIONS WITH SESH BOT
Take the initiative and collaborate! You can use the Sesh bot to easily set up and manage independent group study sessions with your fellow mentees.
Head over to the #schedule-study-sessions channel and type the /create command to get started. To keep our calendar organized, please use the following structure:
- Title: Start with your learning path (MV Study or Uniface Study), followed by a pipe (|), and then your specific topic.
- Datetime: Use the standard MM/DD/YYYY format.
Example Command: /create title: MV Study | Installation datetime: 03/17/2026
Why We Journal (And Why You Should Too)
When learning something new like MultiValue or Uniface it can be a lot to take in. We highly encourage you to keep a learning journal—not as busywork, but because hard science shows that writing things down actively rewires your brain for skill acquisition.
Here is why a dev journal is your best tool:
- It Upgrades Your "Working Memory": Juggling syntax, dictionary logic, and architecture is cognitively heavy. Writing things down acts as an external hard drive, freeing your brain to actually understand the system rather than just temporarily memorizing it.
- It Triggers Active Learning: Passively reading docs rarely leads to mastery. Journaling forces you to process information and put it in your own words, dramatically increasing skill retention and metacognition.
- It Fights Imposter Syndrome: When you look back at your notes from a month ago and see how concepts you once struggled with are now second nature, it provides a massive boost in confidence and tracks your professional growth.
- It Prepares You for High-Security Jobs: In government, defense, or finance sectors, personal devices and external internet access are often strictly prohibited. A physical, handwritten notebook of syntax and references becomes an invaluable, compliant lifeline.
Before you start, remember: these notes are for your eyes only. They are not being graded, and no one else needs to understand them. Take notes in whatever format your mind works best—messy bullet points, mind maps, or quick scratchpad thoughts. The goal is simply to capture what helps you understand the material and track the details you need to reference later.You don't need to write a novel.
A few quick notes at the end of your session are enough. Try answering these three questions to get started today:
- What is the most important concept I learned today? (e.g., "I finally understand how a virtual dictionary item translates data.")
- What roadblock did I hit, and how did I solve it? (e.g., "My subroutine was failing; realized I had a typo in my variable declaration.")
- What is still confusing me that I need to ask my mentor about?

We’ll review your progress, discuss your goals, and outline next steps, connecting you with experienced professionals for hands-on guidance and real-world insight. This is where your journey shifts from structured learning to personalized mentorship.

After mentorship, we’ll work with you on preparing for real-world projects and job opportunities.
- Resume guidance tailored to MultiValue and Uniface roles
- Interview preparation, including technical and situational questions
- Project readiness support, helping you speak confidently about what you’ve built and learned
- Career guidance and next-step planning based on your goals and experience level

- Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and industry insight
